Origin: This variety (orange sherbet) is from the breeding program of Gary Zill of Boynton Beach, FL. It's a seedling from the Lemon Meringue mango which makes it a sibling of the Lemon Zest mango.
Flavor Profile: Orange Sherbet Mango tastes like an orange sherbet flavored push pop. The texture is smooth (no fibers) and juicy. It has an oval-oblong shape and turns yellow at maturity with an orange-yellow fiberless flesh.
How to eat
Orange Sherbet Mangos will likely need some time to ripen after delivery. Ripen at room temperature of 70 degrees or above for optimal consumption. This mango is ripe when it is soft all over. Mangos are best eaten by themselves outside or over the kitchen sink, but they also taste great blended in smoothies or into salad dressings.
