Origin: Long neck avocado varieties grow in the Caribbean Islands and small pockets of South Florida from the Keys to Miami. They are non gmo and not commercially grown.
Flavor Profile: Long neck avocados have a long neck giving it a total length up to 13 in (32.5 cm); The skin is smooth, glossy, and thin. The flesh is thick and creamy. Flavor is savory and slightly salty. The seed is relatively small compared to size of the fruit and viable. The flesh is soft yet pliable, high in moisture content with a melting quality. The fruit has a large central pit, yet because of the fruit's size (often weighing over a pound) edible yield is still high.
How to eat
Store at room temperature of 70 degrees or above until soft all over. Once soft all over, eat or refrigerate to preserve shelf life.
